I have seen Anjelah Johnson a few times and she is hilarious! I would definitely recommend seeing her live.
Anjelah Johnson is a hilarious comedian that will have you laughing the whole time. She has great energy and presence on stage. Her material is relatable and down to earth. I would definitely recommend seeing her live!
Anjelah was super funny and entertaining. The theater was the perfect size, not too big or small. The crowd was into it and there were a lot of laughs. Definitely worth seeing her live!

Anjelah Nicole Johnson-Reyes (born May 14, 1982), known professionally as Anjelah Johnson, is an American comedian, actress and former NFL cheerleader. She is best known for her portrayal of a Vietnamese nail salon employee in the 2009 film “Couples Retreat” and as a cast member on the sketch comedy television series “MADtv”.
Johnson was born in San Jose, California, to a Mexican-American father and an Anglo-American mother. She has three sisters. As a child, she was often teased for her looks and name. When she was 13 years old, her family moved from San Jose to Alameda, California. Johnson graduated from Alameda High School in 2000, where she was a cheerleader. She then attendedOhlone College.
Johnson is married to Manwell Reyes, a Christian rapper who is a member of the group “Group 1 Crew”. The couple has two children.
Johnson began her stand-up comedy career while she was still in college. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy. In 2005, she made her television debut as a contestant on the Nickelodeon game show “Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘n Out”. Johnson has also appeared on such television shows as “My Name Is Earl”, “Ugly Betty” and “The Shield”. In 2009, she had a role in the film “Couples Retreat”. She also starred in the films “Our Family Wedding” (2010) and “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” (2013).
