Description:
The first part of the curriculum will be taught in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, from April 26-28, 2010. Participants will have the chance to use a green infrastructure approach as a guide for developing effective adaptation and mitigation strategies when planning for potential climate change impacts (storm surge/sea level rise, changes in precipitation and temperature).
Participants will learn and experience first-hand how Green Infrastructure may help with climate change planning in this interactive, hands-on course that uses data layers for two coastal communities in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Registration is required since space is limited.
