The National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) is a not-for-profit organization that serves as the collective voice for America’s 3,000 conservation districts and their elected leaders. The mission of conservation districts is to protect natural resources at the local level in accordance with state legislation. Districts collaborate with millions of cooperating landowners and users.

The National Association of Counties was founded on the notion that conservation policy should be determined at the local level, with technical and financial help from federal, state, and local authorities as well as the business sector. NACD supports voluntary, incentive-based natural resource conservation initiatives that benefit all citizens as the national voice for all counties.

NACD offers training and information on utilizing green infrastructure in conservation districts, as well as pushing it to local resource management.
