Conservation Buffers: Design Guidelines for Buffers, Corridors, and Greenways

Description:

Over 1,400 scientific papers were reviewed in order to compile and produce over 80 illustrated design guidelines for soil conservation buffers. Each guideline describes a certain method for creating a vegetative buffer that protects the ground, improves air and water quality, promotes fish and wildlife habitat, generates economic items, provides leisure activities, or improves the aesthetic appeal of the area.

A research-based set of guidelines for creating conservation barriers in rural and urban areas is outlined.
